Now what? You just want to do your job, but the human factor is interfering again. Normally you like people, but right now you wish that you could be on another planet. Those who work in service professions or are trapped in crowded rooms will be out of luck in that regard. Grin and bear it. Make yourself useful. Try to be sincere when circumstances require you to hold someone's hand and reassure this person that he or she really does matter. Don't be afraid to let your own compassion soften your tough exterior. What could it hurt?
